How to "upgrade"
your week to RCI Points
With
the popularity of RCI Points, many RCI Weeks owners
want to know how they can upgrade their current
RCI Week based ownership to RCI Points.
There
are 2 ways that you can upgrade to RCI Points. The
procedure that applies to you depends on the current
RCI property that you own.
If
you own a resort that has become affiliated with
the RCI Points program, the only way that you can
upgrade that week is directly through the resort.
When a resort upgrades to points, the resort is
in control of the fees involved in the upgrade.
Most resorts require that you visit the resort to
upgrade to points. The fees range from $1000 - $7000
+ depending on the resort you own at. Some resorts
require the purchase of an additional unit to upgrade
to points. Many owners choose to simply sell the
week they own as a week and buy a timeshare that
has already been converted to RCI Points.
If
the resort you own has not upgraded to points, you
can use the week you own through the RCI Points
for Deposit Program. Points for Deposit allows RCI
members who own a RCI Weeks affiliated property
to use their week as points. To use points for deposit
you must purchase another timeshare that is affiliated
with RCI Points. To
see how many points you would receive for your week,

you need, some owners choose to sell their current
timeshare and purchase a RCI Points timeshare, thus
keeping their annual maintenance fees lower.
We
would be happy to help you find the RCI Points package
that is right for you.
We can also help you sell your current timeshare.
